Torrino
The Torrino of the Utveggio Convention Center is one of the most evocative and distinctive architectural features of the complex. Situated on the southern slope of Monte Pellegrino, it overlooks Palermo from above, offering an extraordinary panoramic view of the city, the port, the Gulf of Palermo and the Conca d'Oro. Conceived primarily as a scenic element and privileged observation point, the turret served no defensive purpose, though its form evokes the imagery of ancient castle towers. Its architecture, characterised by neo-Gothic references, blends harmoniously with the overall style of the Utveggio Castle Convention Center. Thanks to its commanding position and unique perspective over the city, the turret is one of the most captivating spots in the complex, cherished by visitors and photography enthusiasts alike for its breathtaking views over the Palermo landscape.
